Burton Montgomery
March 27, 1926 ~ June 28, 2016 (age 90) 90 Years OldBurton Montgomery, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Burton was born on March 27, 1926 in Patrick County, VA to Hiram Montgomery and Laura Quesinberry Montgomery.
He is survived by two sons, Dillard (Dolly) Montgomery and Dennis Montgomery; two brothers, Alton Montgomery and Philgene Montgomery; one sister, Glennis Hensley; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Montgomery was preceded in death by his loving wife, Millie Irene Montgomery; his parents; four brothers, Warren Montgomery, Walton Montgomery, Layton Montgomery, and Arlis Vipperman; and five sisters, Vadie Mills Rogers, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Epperson Smith, Fenton Ashburn, Maxie Collins, and Faith “Tencie” Puckett.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 11 A.M. with Rev. Rayton Puckett officiating. Interment will follow in the Pilot Mountain City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 1, 2016 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
