Clara Belle (Sams) Nelson

Clara Belle Sams Nelson, age 87, of Pilot Mountain, NC, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Woltz Hospice Home.

She was born on December 9, 1928 in Surry County, NC to the late William Clade Sams and Clara Ola Sams.

Mrs. Nelson is survived by two daughters, Karen Nelson McBennett and Ginny Nelson Griffin and husband Mark; two brothers, Jesse Sams and wife Barbara and Wayne Sams and wife Wanda; two sisters, Jackie Mills and JoAnn Sams; two sister-in-laws, Emily Nelson Martin and husband Bill, and Dorothy Sams; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Simpson Glenn Nelson; her parents; a son, Lesper Glenn Nelson; and a brother, Hassle Sams.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at First Baptist Church at 11 A.M with Rev. Robert Dixon officiating.

Interment will follow at Pilot Mountain City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In Lieu of  flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Pilot Mountain Building Fund and Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.
