Clidie Rogers Obituary

Mrs. Clidie Lou Jessup Rogers, age 101, of Westfield, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Surry Community Health and Rehab. She was born on January 15, 1917 in Stokes County to the late Derious “D.H.” and Rasie Rogers Jessup. Mrs. Rogers is survived by one daughter, Joanne R. Padgett of Collinstown; three sons and daughters-in-law, Billy Ray Rogers of Walnut Cove, Gordon Gray (Anne) Rogers of Westfield, Berkley Dale (Carol) Rogers of Westfield; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren ten great-great grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law Virginia Rogers. Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph William Rogers; her parents, D.H and Rasie Jessup; son, Kenny A. Rogers; two grandchildren, Joanie Lou Padgett, Stephanie King; son-in-law, Edward Padgett; daughter-in-law, Alma Rogers; six brothers and six sisters.A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Asbury Evangelical Presbyterian Church with Rev. Rickey Rogers and Rev. Terry Collins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Floral tributes will be accepted or memorials may be made to Asbury Evangelical Presbyterian Church Cemetery, P.O Box 7, Westfield, NC, 27053. The family extends a special thanks to the medical and facility staff at Surry Community Health and Rehab for their love and care of Clidie during her extended stay.
