Curtis Melvin Tilley

Curtis Melvin Tilley, age 89, of King, NC, passed away on March 8, 2017 at Walnut Cove Health Care Center

He was born on November 20, 1927 in Forsyth, NC to the late John Frank Tilley and Belle Elizabeth White Tilley.

Mr. Tilley is survived by his daughter, Ruth Tilley (George) Ingle; two grandchildren, Jeannie (David) Logan and George (Wendy) Ingle, Jr.; four great-grandchildren, Eric (Lilly) Bormann, Sarah Ingle, Seth Ingle, and Savannah Ingle; one great-great-grandchild, Aylah Bormann; and his dog, Duchess.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Dorothy Winstead Tilley; two brothers, Paul Tilley and Spottswood Tilley; and a sister, Virgie Peck.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 7 P.M.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 9, 2017 prior to the service from 6 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the Salisbury National Cemetery on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 9 A.M.
