Della "Lois" (Inman) Stone

Della Lois Inman "Granny" Stone, age 90, of 599 Armstrong Rd. Pilot Mountain went to be with her heavenly father and again be reunited with her loving husband Harvey on Thursday, July 30.  She was born December 12, 1924.  She was the daughter of Brady and Tracie Hiatt Inman.  She was retired from Hanes Hosiery and a member of Simmons Grove Baptist Church.  After retirement she enjoyed her flowers, crocheting and needlepoint.  Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Carol Stone, 161 Airsville Rd. Mount Airy; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Junior Stephens, 109 Sapphire Lane, Pilot Mountain and Sue and Boyce Jessup, 411 Cleo Cain Rd. Pilot Mountain, a grandson and wife, Greg and Tracey Jessup;  six granddaughters and their husbands, Amanda and Mike Phillips, Martha and Anthony Cook, Melissa and Darby Culler, Amy and Nick Jennings, Emily and Mike Hawks and Tanya and Justin Thompson; 21 great grandchildren, Keevie and Alex Wilmoth, Klay Newsome, Katey Newsome, Dakota Phillips, Sterling Phillips, Maddison Hawks, Morgan Hawks, Maggie Hawks, Mason Hawks, Valerie Culler, Jessica Culler, Joshua Thompson, Hannah Thompson, Gabrielle Jessup, Brady Jessup, Wyatt Barker, Garrett Barker, Lexy Scott, Gracie Scott, Chloe Jennings, Cassius Jennings; sisters  Etta Chilton, Doris Dawson, Janice Nichols and brothers and wives Taylor (Polly) Inman , Douglas (Pat) Inman.  Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Harvey Madison Stone, her parents, one sister Irene Chilton and one brother J. B. Inman.  Funeral services will be held Monday August 3rd at 3:00 at Simmons Grove Baptist Church with the Pastor Dale Wallace, Rev. Jeff Stephens, and Rev. Johnson Gupton officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday August 2nd at Cox-Needham Funeral Home and other times at the Stone’s home on Armstrong Rd. in Pilot Mountain.  Memorials may be made in floral tribute or to Simmons Grove Baptist Church cemetery fund, C/O Harvey Stephens, Jr., 109 Sapphire Lane, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041 or Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care at 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200 Mount Airy, NC 27030.  A special thank you to Shea Dobson and Angela Peyton and everyone at Mountain Valley Hospice for your love and support.
