Donald Darius Simms
August 28, 1940 ~ June 2, 2015 (age 74) 74 Years OldDonald Darius Simms, age 74, of Pinnacle, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at his home.
He was born on August 28, 1940, Howard County, Md. to the late Herbert P. Simms and Mildred Irene Burns Simms.
Mr. Simms is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joyce Collins Simms; one son, Donald Darius Simms, Jr. and wife, Lisa; two daughters, Teresa Galloway and husband, Jim and Tammy Simms Venable; one sister, Ester Rosalie Ebbess; one brother, Larry Simms; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gilbert Simms and Elmer Simms; two sisters, Fairey (Sue) Oland and Yvonne Thomas and one grandchild, Donald Darius Simms, III.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 5, 2015 at Cox-Needham Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Tim Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Thursday June 4, 2015 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
