Dorothy Estelle (Jessup) Mills

DOROTHY JESSUP MILLS, age 94, of Westfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Forest Heights Senior Living Community in Winston-Salem.
 

She was born on December 12, 1920 in Stokes County, NC to the late Derious Henderson Jessup and Rasie Cassandra Rogers Jessup.

Mrs. Mills is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Claudia Mills; daughter and son-in-law, Cassie and Edwin Bondurant; one sister, Clidie Luellyn Rogers; four grandchildren, Annie Noelle Bondurant, Zachary C. Bondurant, Carter Joseph Mills, Taylor William Mills; many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Max.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Clyde Mills; five brothers, Roy Folger, Eldridge Henderson, John Derious (JD), Kenneth Merrit, Porter Garfield; six sisters, Etta Delphia, Annie Zelphia, Edith Octavia, Baby Girl, Effie Aurora, Thelma Louise and one grandchild, Jonathan Bondurant.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Collinstown Presbyterian Church at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Shaun Draughn and Mr. Mark George officiating.  Interment will follow at State Line Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to her in-home caretakers and the staff at Forest Heights Senior Living Community for all the love and care shown in her last months.
