Eugene (Genie) Heath

Eugene (Genie) Heath, age 91, of Mount Airy, NC, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Central Continuing Care.

He was born on September 12, 1924 in Surry County, NC to the late Jessie Oliver Heath and Martha Wagner Heath.

Mr. Heath is survived by two sons, Mickey (Sandra) Heath and Ronald (Debbie) Heath; two daughters, Barbara (Richard) Lawson and Linda (Gary) Nunn; seven grandchildren, Lynette (Greg) Cave, Brandon (Angela) Lawson, Delana (Wesley) Carter, Catrena (Steven) Whitaker, Santana (Jamie) Fulp, Taylor Heath, and Robbie Heath; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Lucille Shelton Heath; his parents; three brothers, Curtis Heath, Tom Heath, and Ervin Heath; and three sisters, Dotsie Marion, Lula Craddock, and Roxie Whitt.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 3 P.M with Bro. Don Collins and Bro. Pete King officiating.

Interment will follow in Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.
