J.W. Poindexter
November 24, 1935 ~ June 28, 2016 (age 80) 80 Years OldJW Poindexter, age 80, of Siloam, NC, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Northern Hospital of Surry County.
He was born on November 24, 1935 in Surry County, NC to the late Willie Poindexter and Kathleen Eads Poindexter.
Mr. Poindexter is survived by his wife, Myrtle Thomas Poindexter; one son, Larry Gray (Sheila) Poindexter; two brothers, Kenneth Poindexter and Wayne (Lydia) Poindexter; three sisters, Louise (Leonard) Childress, Jean (Jimmy) Davis, and Brenda Grizzell; a sister-in-law, Etta Poindexter; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Susan Evelyn Poindexter; a brother, Dale Poindexter; a sister, Polly Hardy; a brother-in-law, Pat Grizzell; and a sister-in-law, Helen Poindexter.
A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Friendly Chapel Church at 1 P.M. with Bro. Don Collins officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Hill Friends Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at Friendly Chapel Church.
