Jack David Smith, age 88, of Mount Airy, NC, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Northern Hospital of Surry County.
He was born on December 25, 1927 in Stokes County, NC to the late Fletcher Morris Smith and Carrie Ester Ward Smith
Mr. Smith is survived by a son, David Smith and wife, Sheryl; two sisters, Helen Knott and Dorlee Barnett; and a special friend, Avolene Allen.
He was predeceased by his parents; his ex-wife, Betty Lou Smith; and 5 sisters, Lois Hill, Mildred Robertson, Margaret Flippin, Cornelia Thurman, and Linnie Mae Smith (deceased as a child).
A Graveside Service will be conducted on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Big Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at 11 A.M.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.
