James Quentin Sechrist, Sr.

James Quentin Sechrist, Sr., age 82, of Pinnacle, NC, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Woltz Hospice Home.

He was born on January 29, 1935 in Stokes County, NC to the late James Manuel Sechrist and Myrtle Mae Bowman Sechrist.

He served his country for two years in the Navy. He then went on to work for R.J. Reynolds where he retired after 39 years of service and later worked for 15 years at U.S. Tobacco Company.

Mr. Sechrist is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Sechrist; a son, James Quentin (Kellie) Sechrist, Jr.; three daughters, Hailey Sechrist, Debbie (Mike) Fain, and Kayla Cummins; a sister-in-law, Hazel Sechrist; and four grandchildren, James Quentin Sechrist, III, Meghan Sechrist, Lauren Sechrist, and Michael Fain, Jr.

He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Wendell Sechrist, Sr.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Pinnacle Baptist Church at 2 P.M. with Rev. Carl Whitaker officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military rites provided by King American Legion Post 290.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The family would like to send a thank you to the Woltz Hospice Home and Senior Quality Care for their love and support. A very special thank you to Katharine “Katt” Rogers for going above and beyond. She really spoiled Quentin and we will forever be grateful. Another special thanks to his mother-in-law Linda Howell.
