James Lee Woods, “Billy”, age 67, of Germanton, NC, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 at WFU Baptist Medical Center.
He was born on June 6, 1948 in Stokes County, NC to the late James Rufus Woods and Ersie Tilley Woods Goins.
Mr. Woods is survived by a daughter, Teresa (Michael Weaver) Woods; two sons, Johnny Woods and Harvey (Kelley) Woods; mother of daughter, Shirley Woods; two brothers, Elmer (Tutti) Woods and Larry (Jeanette) Goins; four sisters, Linda Goins, Bronna Goins, Donna Goins, and Hilda Lawson; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Teddy Goins, Thomas Goins, and Barry Goins.
A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Doug Cockerham officiating. Internment will follow in the Lawsonville Church of God cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M.
