Joe Bob Jones

Joe Bob Jones, age 84, of King, NC, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Village Care of King.

He was born on August 12, 1932 in Stokes County, NC to the late Charlie Jones and Ada Jones.

Mr. Jones is survived by a son, Bobby Jones; a daughter JoAnn Lawson; six grandchildren, Joanna Nichole Jones, Holly Wilson, Melody Wilson, Alan Wilson, Marlana (Kory) Collins, and Carolyn Jones; ten great grandchildren, Jonathan Plunkett, Alexis Plunkett, Brady Collins, Junior McGee, Hailey McGee, Jessica Fleck, Elizabeth Hartzog, Tristan Jones, Ricky Daley, and Sheridan Daley; one great-grandchild, Silas McGee; and special friends, Susie Housin and Mary Blaine. 

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Jones; his parents; two sons, Roger Dale Jones and Ricky Ray Jones; two brothers, Robert Jones and Ray Jones; and one step-son, John Wilson.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 2 P.M with Rev. Barry O’Neal officiating. Interment will follow in Tru Way Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
