Joseph William Gibson

Joseph William Gibson, age 21, of Mount Airy, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017.

He was born on June 13, 1996 in Forsyth County, NC to Candy Ring Gibson and the late Steven Ray Gibson.

Joe Gibson loved life more than life itself and lived it to the fullest. He found strength and love with his beautiful wife Madison. He adored his niece and nephews and spending time with family and friends. He had a passion for fly fishing and working on trucks. Joe wrestled most of his school age and tried other sports but wouldn’t chase a ball if he didn’t see the need; he would rather do the chicken dance.

Mr. Gibson is survived by his wife, Madison Noelle Gibson; his mother, Candy Ring Gibson; two brothers, Brian (Sheena) Gibson and Scott (Stacy) Gibson; a niece, Cora Gibson; three nephews, Gage Gibson, Caleb Gibson, and Gradyn Gibson; his mother-in-law, Fawn Shaw; two brother-in-laws, Chandler Shaw and Caleb Shaw; and many close friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Steven Ray Gibson.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church at 2 P.M. with Rev. Charles Stevens and Rev. Ron Chamblin officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.
