He was born on February 15, 1947 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Herbert Wood and Marerveen Manning Wood.
Mr. Wood is survived by two daughters, Angelia (Dean) Pruitt and Heather (Jeff) Prater; a brother, Kenny Wood; two sisters, Bonnie (David) DeMarco and Vickie (Lee) Amos; three grandchildren, Joshua Prater, Christi Prater, and Kalee Pruitt; and several special nieces and nephews; former wife, Ruby ‘Rascal’ Simmons.
He was predeceased by his parents; a son, Robert Wood; and a brother, Jimmy Wood.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 7:30 P.M with Rev. Ricky Rogers officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M.
