Lydia Raenelle (Ayers) Sisk

Mrs. Lydia Raenelle Sisk, 86, of Pinnacle, NC, passed away at 3:07 a.m. on January 21, 2018. Mrs. Sisk was born May 24, 1931, to the late Johnie Oscar Ayers and Vallie Artances Edwards Ayers. She worked at and retired from Westinghouse in Rural Hall, NC. Raenelle found the love of her life in Reginald Boyles Sisk and they were married for 59 years. Together, they had three children: Roger Darrell Sisk, Ricky Ayers Sisk, and Sherrie Robin Sisk. Raenelle leaves behind two grandsons: William Darrell Sisk and Jonathan Adrian Sisk. Three great-grandchildren: “Will” William Darrell Sisk Jr. and Kristen Lydia Sisk and Kayla Marie Reed. One sister: Alene Craddock. Raenell was preceded in death by her husband Reggie, her three children: Roger, Ricky and Sherrie. Two brothers: Leroy Ayers and Hoyt Ayers. Two sisters: Mabel Hicks and Dorothy Jester. Raenelle was a real gem of a lady to all that knew her. She had a big bright smile and a quick wit to match. To our family, she was our protector, our leader, and most importantly our Guardian Angel. She showed her family love and forgiveness through her actions and deeds. She was dearly loved and will be dearly missed. We will miss and love you grandma. The family wishes to say thank you to grandma’s caregivers: Pam Stokes, Christy Pinnix and Susan Tilley. You showed grandma love and mercy and you became a part of our family. We love you and we thank you. We also thank Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care. Special thanks to Sabrina, Amy, Anita, Angela and Drew The family will receive friends and family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesay, January 24, 2018, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home in Pilot Mountain. A funeral service will take place at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Pinnacle at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2017. The Rev. Janet Fisher Dixon will conduct the service and the burial will take place in the church cemetery following service. In lieu of flowers the family would request donations be made to the General Fund of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church located at: P.O. Box 155, Pinnacle, N.C. 27043
