Martha Lou (Holt) Bowman

Martha Lou Holt Bowman, age 96, of Westfield, NC, passed away on August 5, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center.

She was born on April 29, 1921 in Patrick County, VA to the late Robert Holt and Lottie Beverly Holt.

Ms. Bowman is survived by five daughters, Maggie Martin, Earlene Bullins, Thelma Brown, Cathie Smith, and Barbara Johnson; three sons, Sam Bowman, Terry Bowman, and Warren Bowman; one brother, Bill Holt; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sons, William Bowman, Arthur Bowman, and an infant son; two brothers, Sam Holt and Amos Holt; and two sisters, Leah Holt and Iva Pack.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 2 P.M. with Rev. Michael Bowman officiating.

Interment will follow in the Peoples Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to a special grandson, Robert Bullins and a special granddaughter, Tami Serena for their dedication to Martha.
