Mary Madgoline (Sams) Gwyn
February 15, 1934 ~ January 31, 2016 (age 81) 81 Years OldMary Madgoline Sams Gwyn, age 81, of Pinnacle, NC, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at her home.
She was born on February 15, 1934 in Stokes County to the late Raleigh Ray Sams and Nina Early Shelton Sams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ellis Okelly Gwyn; one sister, Betty Jean Angel; six brothers, Earl Ray Sams , Warren Leo (Whitey) Sams, Billy Joe Sams, Carl Otis Sams, Mac Sams, Johnny Sams.
Mrs. Gwyn is survived by her two sons, Ellis Eugene Gwyn, Allan Blane Gwyn; two daughters, Mary Rebecca Gordon, June Carol Bowman; sister, Margie Caudle; six grandchildren, Georgia Gordon, Bert Gordon, Danielle Bowman, Scotty Gwyn, Cory Gwyn, Brandon Gwyn; nine great-grandchildren, Lydya, Tara, Jakob, AJ, Joshua, Caleb, Irelynn, Shaffer, Miana.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Brims Grove Baptist Church at 3:30 P.M with Rev. Gerald Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Olive Grove Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 to 3:30 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brims Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or Olive Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
