Nonnie Mae (Cain) Cooke

Nonnie Mae Cain Cooke, age 88, of Mount Airy, NC, passed away on July 9, 2016.

She was born on November 4, 1927 in Surry County, NC to the late Joseph Frank Cain and Rachel Virginia Nunn Cain.

Mrs. Cooke is survived by her son, Alton Otto Cooke and special friend, Kay Lawson; a sister, Jenny Wood; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Rufus Otto Cooke; her parents; a daughter, Linda Michelle Cooke Radford; and one brother, Max Gardner Cain.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 2 P.M with Rev. Ricky Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in the Westfield Friends Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 11, 2016 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.
