Norma Lee (Marion) Sloop

Norma Lee Sloop, age 73, of Pinnacle, NC, passed away on June 5, 2017 at WFU Baptist Medical Center.

She was born on May 30, 1944 in Surry County, NC to the late Early James Marion and Annie Francis Myers.

Mrs. Sloop is survived by her loving husband, Douglas Sloop of the home; one daughter, Rebecca (Paul) Sanfilippo of Lexington, NC; three grandchildren, Michael (Stephanie) Sanfilippo, Brandi Sanfilippo, and Jonathan Sanfilippo; and six sisters, Beulah (Jesse) Draughn of Siloam, NC, Peggy (Bruce) Puckett of Ararat, NC, Betty Jane (Harry) Brown of Siloam, NC, Josephine (Gary) Nance of Morganton, NC, Geraldine (Jimmy) Blakeley of Rural Hall, NC, and Marilyn (John) Marion of Westfield, NC.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, James “Bo” Marion and two sisters, Daisy Angleen Myers and Annie Christine Myers.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 1 P.M. with Rev. Gene Lawson officiating.

Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 6 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.
