Robert "Pete" Whitt
June 30, 1935 ~ May 13, 2016 (age 80) 80 Years OldRobert “Pete” Whitt, age 80, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Universal Healthcare of King.
Robert was born on June 30, 1935 in Surry County, NC to Grover Whitt and Cora Stanley Whitt.
He is survived by two sons, Tony Gray Whitt and Robert Nelson Whitt and wife, Dovy; one daughter, Debbie Whitt Dinkins and husband, Tony; two brothers, Ronald Whitt and Kent Whitt; three sisters, Lena Whitaker and husband, Lonnie, Sally Evans, and Betty Lineberry; four grandchildren, Joshua Kingsbury and wife, Sara, Stephanie Kingsbury, Ryan Whitt and wife, Shannon, and Alicia Whitt; and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Whitt was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Whitt; a sister, Sylvia Jessup; and a grandson, Mitchell Kingsbury.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 4:00 P.M. with Bro. Don Collins and Bro. John Hylton officiating. Internment will follow at Gospel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
