Ruby (Abbott) Tilley
June 4, 1928 ~ June 15, 2016 (age 88) 88 Years OldRuby Abbott Tilley, age 88, of Pinnacle, NC, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Priddy Manor.
She was born on June 4, 1928 in Chatham County, NC to the late Roger Abbott and Nancy Wilson Abbott. Ruby was an accomplished seamstress.
She is survived by her son William A. (Bill) Tilley Jr. and wife, Beth; her daughter Jeanne Tilley Nash and husband, Al; two grandchildren, Benjamin Tilley and wife, Sarah and Amber Kramer and husband, Kevin; and three great-grandchildren, Henry Tilley, Katie Kramer, and Ellie Kramer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Tilley; her parents; and three sisters, Mannie Lee Abbott Williams, Alene Abbott Wright, and Ruth Abbott O’Dwyer.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Volunteer Primitive Baptist Church at 11 A.M. with Elder Jimmy Joyce officiating. Internment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends and family on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home from 6 to 8 P.M.
