Shirley Jane Jones, age 78, of King, NC, passed away on October 30, 2016 at 6:50 A.M. at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
She was born on March 17, 1938 in Surry County, NC to the late James Jones and Ada Key Jones. She attended North Point Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school.
Ms. Jones is survived by two brothers, Bobby Jones and Frank (Judy) Jones; three sisters, Shelvia (Daniel) Ettinger of Myrtle Beach, SC, Audrey Needham of Wilmington, NC, and Hazel Gammons of Huntsville, AL; seven nephews; six nieces; and special friends, Barb and Roger Schwartz.
She was predeceased by her three brothers, Claude Jones, Lloyd Jones, and Bill Jones; and two sisters, Opal Hodgin and Wilma Scott.
A Graveside Service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery at 2 P.M with Rev. Gene Brinkley officiating.
The family will receive friends in the Church an hour prior to the service.
