Stanley Gray East

Stanley Gray East, AKA Brown Mountain Rattle Snake, age 51, of Pilot Mountain, NC, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. Mr. East was one of Pilot Mountains most colorful residents and will be missed by all.

He was born on February 17, 1966 in Stokes County, NC to the late Ted East and Emily Niten East.

Mr. East is survived by his daughter, Haley (Taylor) Kennedy; his son, Landon East; his wife, Annette Key East; his grandchildren, Mason Kennedy and Jason Kennedy; a sister, Teresa East; a step-daughter, Samantha Sayre; and a step-granddaughter, Ruby Jean Matthews.

He was predeceased by his parents and an infant brother, Ted East, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Brown Mountain Baptist Church at 6 P.M. with Elder Rodney Marshall officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
