Ms. Betty Goad Martin, age 80, of Pinnacle, went home to be with the Lord on April 2nd,2024.
She was born on December 11, 1944, in Abington, Virginia, to the late Ray Goad and Ethel Rutherford.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Hubert (June) Martin of Welcome, NC; father and mother; and a brother Wilson Goad of Abington, Virginia.
She is survived by a brother, Jim Goad (Connie); one niece; one nephew; one great-niece; 2 great-nephews of Abington, Virginia; and two cousins, Deborah and Tammy.
Ms. Martin retired from Bellsouth with 33 years of service. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church of Rural Hall since 1971. She and her husband worked with young people, serving in bus ministry.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 12:30pm. Funeral services will be held at Cox-Needham Funeral Home following the visitation at 1:30pm. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens on Highway 150, Winston-Salem. Rev. Tim Gammons will be officiating the service.
