Beulah Lee “Boots” Allen Flippin, 90 years of age, peacefully passed away at her home on October 23, 2018 in Mount Airy, N.C. surrounded by her family. She was born on November 23, 1927, in Davie County to the late James Frank and Sarah “Sallie” Lee Weir Allen. The youngest of six children, Boots grew up in the Farmington, NC community. Her siblings were Clarence “Red” Allen, Joyce Allen Carter, Jacob Allen, Martha Allen Ketner, and James Allen. She was preceded in death by her siblings, her husband, Robert Clyde Flippin, and son, Robert Earl Flippin.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Sharon (Larry) Stone of Pilot Mountain, Gary (Phyllis) Flippin of Mount Airy, and Allen Flippin of Claudville, VA and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family will forever be blessed by her unconditional love and the Godly legacy she leaves.
Boots was a beloved neighbor in the Asbury Community. She was affectionately known as “Granny Boots.” She was a member of Asbury Pentecostal Holiness Church where she faithfully served for many years. Boots loved and cherished her church family.
A Celebration of Life service will begin at Thursday 3pm at Asbury Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1040 Pentecostal Church Drive, Westfield, NC, 27053 with visitation on Thursday October 25, 2018 from 2pm to 3pm prior to the service Burial immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Asbury Pentecostal Holiness Church cemetery fund.
