Bobby Jessup Obituary

Bobby Keith Jessup, Sr. age 75, of Pilot Mountain, NC, passed away on February 10, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Hospital. He was born on January 14, 1944 to Earlie Garfield Jessup and Vera Susan Blair Jessup.Mr. Jessup is survived by his loving family; wife of 54 years, Carol Gilley Jessup; two sons, Bobby Keith Jessup, Jr; Andrew William Jessup (Amy); two grandchildren (Meredith and Alexandria); 2 brothers, Rev. Kenneth Jessup (Pansy) and Kary Jessup (Yvonne); 1 brother in law, Earlie Gilley, Jr. (Tammy); many nieces and nephews and special family friend, Jakob Todd and Boyce Jessup. Mr. Jessup proudly served in the Army overseas in the Vietnam war and will be buried with full military honors. Mr. Jessup always enjoyed young people and especially spending time with his granddaughters.  He also loved his Disney cruise and watching Tom and Jerry cartoons, along with the Walton’s daily. The family would like to express their appreciation for the excellent care that Mr. Jessup received both from the VA and from everyone at Forsyth Medical Center.He was preceded in death by his parents; Earlie Garfield Jessup and Vera Susan Blair Jessup and beloved companion, Snuggles. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Pine Ridge Presbyterian at 2 PM with Rev. Doug Brinkley.The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church Interment will follow at Jessup Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The NC National Honor Guard, the Mount Airy VFW Post 2019 and the Pilot Mountain VFW Post 9436 will provide full Military Honors Cox-Needham Funeral Home of Pilot Mountain (http://www.coxneedham.com, www.facebook.com/coxneedham) is respectfully serving the Jessup family.
