Donald Wayne Martin

Mr. Donald Wayne Martin, age 61, of Ararat, NC, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Surry Community Health and Rehab Center. He was born on January 20, 1956 in Lee County, NC to the late Fred Wayne Martin and Shelby Jean Goins Gregory. He loved racing and his family. He is survived by his mother; a daughter Shelby Mae and husband Chris Stanley; two sisters, Carla Tolbert and partner Jeffrey Smith, Sr., Evelyn Wall and fiancé Jerry Love; and two grandchildren, Taylor and Corbin Stanley. He was predeceased by his father, Fred Wayne Martin. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home with Donnie Bowman officiating. Interment will follow at Volunteer Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.
