Dorothy Mae (Wallace) Nelson

Dorothy Mae Wallace Nelson, 86, of Pilot Mountain, passed away November 30, 2019 at Surry Community Health & Rehabilitation Center.  She was born March 19, 1933 to Henry Robert and Iris Bates Wallace.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory; four sons, Thomas Wallace, Moir Henry (Theresa) Nelson, Ricky Junior Nelson, and Jeffrey Lee Nelson; two daughters, Linda Nixon, and Denise Leak; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Moir Junior Nelson, two infant brothers; one sister; and one son, James Nelson.  Mrs. Nelson will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.  

Family will receive friends, Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 PM, immediately following visitation in the Cox-Needham Funeral Chapel.  Deacon James Shumate will be officiating.   Burial will follow in the Nelson Family cemetery.
