Erlene O. (Venable) Priddy

Mrs. Erlene Venable Priddy, age 91, of Arden NC, passed away on March 3, 2018, at her home. She was born June 18, 1926, in Stokes County to the late Roy H. Venable and Mary Ellen Stewart Venable.

Mrs.  Priddy is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Priddy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles (Sherry) Priddy and Philip (Carroll Sue) Priddy; a sister, Janie Ann Venable Myers; a brother Roy Norman Venable; six grandchildren, Kyle (Traci) Boles, Keith Boles, Chris Priddy, Kevin Priddy, Charla Priddy and Lance Priddy; and three great-grandchildren, Greyson Priddy, Kimberly Boles and Kevin Boles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Otis Priddy; her parents, Roy H. Venable and Mary Ellen Stewart Venable; a son, Ricky Priddy; and a sister, Mildred Venable Veach.

A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at First Baptist Church of King at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Joe May and Rev. Blane Fowler officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.

The family will have a private interment at Crestview Memorial Garden, Rural Hall, NC.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Four Seasons Hospice, 373 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801 or the Stokes County Humane Society, 1010 Barn Road, Danbury, NC 27016.
