Jerry Franklin Edwards

Jerry Franklin Edwards, age 66, of Ararat, NC, passed away on November 14, 2017 at Woltz Hospice Home.

He was born on January 3, 1951 in Surry County, NC to the late William McKinley Edwards and Flossie Brooks Edwards.

Mr. Edwards is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Danley Edwards; two sons, Jerry Lee Edwards and Joseph Franklin Edwards; one daughter, April Edwards (John) Cox; two sisters, Evelyn Newman and Ruth Boyd; five grandchildren, Marshall Edwards, Charity Edwards, Connor Cox, Chloe Cox, and Kolten Moser; a sister-in-law, Deborah (Wade) Hill; four nieces; three nephews; and his beloved dog Buddy.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Carl Edwards; his father-in-law, Garnet Danley; his mother-in-law, Pauline Danley; his brother-in-law, C.L. Newman; a nephew, Scotty Newman; and a special furbaby, Tripod.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 2 P.M. with Rev. Jack Danley officiating.

Interment will follow in Black Water United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.
