Joe Bill Jones

Joe Bill Jones, age 90, of Pinnacle, NC, passed away on December 7, 2017 at WFU Baptist Medical Center.

He was born on February 12, 1927 in Stokes County, NC to the late Sam Jones and Della Lawson Jones. Joe proudly served his country during the Korean War.

Mr. Jones is survived by a daughter, Pam (Jerry) Southard; two sons, Mike (Susan) Jones and David Jones; four grandchildren, Tracy (Luke) Jackson, Matthew Southard, Joseph (Anna) Jones, and Joshua Jones; two great-grandchildren, Chloe Jackson and Rylee Jackson; and two sisters, Linda (Ray) King and Nancy (Robert) Lumley.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Marie Jones; a brother, John R. Jones and a sister, Margaret Fulk.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 2 P.M. with Rev. Gerald Jones officiating.

Interment will follow in the Volunteer Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites provided by Pilot Mountain VFW Post 9436 and Mount Airy VFW Post 2019.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.
