Joseph Craig "Joey" Tilley

Joseph Craig “Joey” Tilley, age 52, of Cana, VA, passed away on May 2, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on May 2, 1965 in Surry County, NC to Gaye Cain and Glenn Tilley.

Joseph was Co-Owner of Mayberry Pickers, 1109 West Pine Street, Mount Airy, NC 27030 and he was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church where he started the men’s prayer group held every Saturday morning at 8 A.M. He was loved by many special friends. Led by Fred Senter, Sr., he loved the Lord and his church family.

Mr. Tilley is survived by his loving wife, Pansy Jones Tilley; his mother, Gaye Lawrence; his father, Glenn Tilley; three sons, Corey, Jordan, and Justin; one daughter, Jessica; two stepchildren, Lewis (Heather) Potts and Jody (Dawn) Potts; two grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; one aunt, Faye (Dan) Pendleton; one special cousin, Shannon (Jaime) Inman Bauerle and their daughter Hannah; a cousin, Steve Cain; and a special friend, brother in the Lord, and business partner, Kendrick Sisk.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Pine Ridge Baptist Church at 2 P.M with Rev. Johnny Johnson, Michael Smith, and Rev. Richie Harris officiating.

Interment will follow in Woodville Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 5, 2017 for one hour prior to the service at Pine Ridge Baptist Church.
