Lanny Ray Martin

Lanny Ray Martin, 70, of Westfield, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019.  He was born May 11, 1949 to Paul and Vergie Jackson Martin.  Mr. Martin leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Shirley Niten Martin; a son and fiancé, Danny Ray Martin and Delanna Watson; a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Martin Joyce and Rodney; one brother and sister-in-law, Sammy Gray Martin and Janice; one sister and brother-in-law, Glenda Martin Alberty and Ray; three grandchildren, Jessica, Brittany, Elijah and two step grandchildren, Allison and Ryan and countless friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Caleb Martin and Wade Martin; and two sisters, Ethel Riddle Inman and Eugenia Martin Jessup.  Lanny was dearly loved, a father to all and a lifelong member of Brown Mountain Baptist Church.  Funeral services will be held for Mr. Martin on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 2:00 PM and his body will lie in state as the family receives friends, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Brown Mountain Baptist Church.  The Rev. Eddie Carter and the Rev. Rickey Rogers will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
