Marjorie (Jessup) Simmons

Marjorie Jessup Simmons, age 85, of Pilot Mountain, NC, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Village Care of King.

She was born on August 23,1933 to the late Aldie Luther and Geneva Cook Jessup.

Mrs. Simmons is loved and missed by all of her surviving family, daughters, Cathy S. McCreary, Vickie S. (Allen) McKinney, and Sherri S. (Chris) Joyce;a sister,  Rachel Hazelwood; a sister-in-law, Norma Jessup; thirteen grandchildren, Dean (Lisa) Brindle, Allison Brindle, Elizabeth (Mitchell) Sheaffer, Travis (fiancée Jessi) Lawson,  Stephanie (Justin) Buchholz,  Kimberly (Jamie) Byrd, Michael McCreary, Michelle (Steve) Hughes,  Heather Linville, Shawn (Tiffany) Linville, Thomas (fiancée Megan) McKinney,  Brandon (Michelle) Simmons, and Kristen Joyce; thirteen great grandchildren,  Garrett Brindle,  Kaiden Brindle, Lauren Brindle,  Elijah Rapp, Benjamin Rapp, Isabella Lawson, Eli Byrd,  Nyla Lailscales, Cody Moorefield,  Tori Linville, Landon Linvile, Aleah Linville, and Lincoln McKinney; and two great great-grandchildren, Eaton Moorefield and Annsleigh Moorefield.

Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her loving husband, Boyd Edsel Simmons; her parents, Aldie Luther and Geneva Cook Jessup; a daughter, Pat S. Lawson; and a brother, James Jessup.

A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Cox Needham Funeral Home at 2 P.M. with Elder Rodney Marshall officiating.
 
Interment will follow Pilot Mountain City Cemetery.
 
The family will receive friends on Sunday December 23, 2018 from 1PM. to 2PM at Cox Needham Funeral Home.
