Martha C. Boyd

Martha Carroll Boyd, 76, of Pinnacle went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 28, 2019. Martha was born on August 16, 1943 to Early and Shirley Carroll. She married the love of her life; James Preston Boyd and together they built a wonderful life with a large family that will miss her dearly.  Martha retired from Proctor-Silex after many years of service there. She loved to stop in at the café and grab a bite and loved yard-selling. Martha will be remembered for her kind nature, wonderful sense of humor and her wonderful laugh.

She leaves to cherish her memory, One son; Ricky Boyd and a daughter; Kathy (Ronnie) Davis, Six grandchildren, Fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters; Phyllis Brown and Ruth Hall, her husband; James Preston Boyd, a daughter-in-law; Cynthia Boyd, a grandchild; Shirley Boyd, and one beloved son; Samuel Boyd and his late wife; Sandra.

The family will receive friends for her visitation on Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Cox-Needham Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Cox-Needham Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Fagg Cemetery in Lawsonville, N.C.
