Mrs. Mary Alma Danley, age 73, of Ararat, NC, walked into heaven to be reunited with her husband, daughter, grandson, and many other loved ones who passed before her on September 05, 2018, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on April 22, 1945, to Robert Milton and Mary Juanita Reeves Johnson.
Mrs. Danley was a faithful member of Blackwater Community Church as long as her health permitted. She loved gardening, sewing, and making quilts. Among the many who were privileged to receive one of these gifts were her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as other friends and loved ones. Mrs. Danley donated several quilts to be sold to raise money for someone in need.
She is survived by a daughter, Arlene Crotts and husband, Wesley; a son, Franklin Danley and wife Dianna; a brother, Johnny Johnson and wife, Mary Sue; sister-in-law, Betty Jo Johnson; six grandchildren, Ann Klein, Sharee Fenstermaker, Melanie Potter, Breanna Webb, Katie and Austin Danley; and seven great-grandchildren, Kory and Andrew Martin, Avigail Klein, Clara, Lacie, and Teddie Fenstermaker, and Averi Webb.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Danley; her parents, Robert Milton Johnson and Mary Juanita Reeves Johnson; a daughter, Elizabeth “Susie” Danley; a sister, Martha Wilson; two brothers, George and Jimmy Johnson; and a grandson, Corey Danley.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Blackwater Community Church at 2 P.M. with Bro. Ted Crotts, Bro. Frank Danley, and Bro. Ray Hutson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Blackwater Community Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service ( 1:00 to 2:00 pm) at Blackwater Community Church.
