McKinley Hauser Obituary

Mr. McKinley Wayne Hauser, age 81, of King, NC, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on April 5, 1938 to Russell Alexander Hauser and Ella Wall Hauser.

Mr. Hauser is loved and will be missed by all his family. He leaves cherished memories with his wife Patsy Ann White Hauser, one son; Rusty (Kristie) Hauser, one daughter; Wendy Hauser (Barry) Sawyers, one brother; Roland (Rachel) Hauser, one sister; Rose Bukas, three grandchildren; Chase Sawyers (fiancé Emilee Bennett), Hope Hauser and  Hannah Hauser (fiancé Corbin Powell), two grandchildren of the heart; Elaina Bullard and Taylor Hopper, brother and sisters-n-law; Eddie (Becky) White, Colleen Hauser and JoAnne Hauser.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Alexander Hauser and Ella Wall Hauser, grandson; Hunter Sawyers, two brothers; Joe and Harold Hauser, mother and father-n-law Ed and Hazel White, sister-in-law; Nancy Williams, and brother-in-law, Dean Bukas.

He retired as a salesman with Poindexter Lumber Company and also worked as a safety director and terminal manager for American Charters. He was an avid Wake Forest fan and felt honored to assist their athletes in travels to their sporting events.

He is a recognized member of the softball Hall of Fame. After his softball career, he continued to share the love of the game by coaching and serving as president of King Little League, touching and shaping many lives along the way.

Wayne was a big, strong man who loved with his whole heart. He was devoted to helping others and was the epitome of a family man, always putting his family first in everything he did. He was a Godly example for others impacting and influencing many in the community. But above all, his greatest joy was watching his children and grandchildren grow, supporting them in all their endeavors, and sharing 60 years with the love of his life Pat Hauser.

The family wants to send out a special thank you to all of our friends, loved ones and surrounding churches that have supported us through the years.

A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at 6:00 pm at First Christian Church 625 Meadowbrook Drive. King, NC with Rev. Ralph Sproles, Pastors Lamar Tillman and Todd Lusk officiating.

Interment will be held immediately after service at First Christian Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm at First Christian Church.
