Nancy Lou Zachary Roten (74) January 4, 1945   February 17, 2019

Millers Creek- We celebrate the life of Nancy Lou Zachary Roten, she passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center on February 17, 2019. Nancy was born in Dayton Ohio, to the Late Ezra Zachary and Verdie Lackey Zachary.

Nancy lived at Kills Devil Hills for many years where she was a kitchen Manager for Dare Devil Pizza, and then she moved back to Surry and Wilkes County to be closer to Family. Nancy was a hard worker she always had something to do. She was a people person she always liked getting to know people; she would sit and talk over her coffee and Pepsi.  Nancy gave great care to her pets Little Bit, Lucy and her cat Tiger; she would cook chicken for them. She loved spending time with her sister-in-law Loyce Roten; they would go get something to eat, go shopping or just sit and talk. Nancy loved collecting memorabilia of Elvis Presley, She went to Graceland several times in the past years, and she would go to see Elvis impersonators, when she could.

Nancy was proceeded in death besides her parents was a son Gather Dean Bowling, a Brother Kerry Zachary, and a son-in-law Jeff Crabtree

Left to cherish her memories is A brother James ( Buddy) Zachary of Wilkesboro, and a sister Glenda  Jo Zachary of King,  her Daughters Michelle Crabtree of Statesville, Marsha Martin of King, Melissa Harris of Moravian Falls, and her son Erick Roten of Millers Creek, Other family Jerry Harris of Albemarle. Grandchildren Are Jason (Summer) Crabtree, Jacob Roten, Justin Rudisill, Kristin Rudisill all of Statesville, Faith (Tanner) Acord and Ajay Martin of Pinnacle, Sarah Grace Martin of King.  Jessica (Jerry) Ball, Brittany (John) Roten, Kelsey Harris all of Purlear, Nathan Harris of Greensboro, Josh Delk of Tennessee, and Brian White and Chris White both of Kill Devil Hills.

Great Grand Children:  Brooklyn Nichols, Wesley Acord, Bryson Acord, Jared Ball, Dylan Ball, Madison Ball, Maren Roten, Jed Roten,  Mylli Delk and Aubrii Delk.

The family would like to thank the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center 4 floor A ICU Doctors and Nurses they went above their duties to take care of our mother.

Celebration of life will be Thursday February 21, 2019 at 6:00pm at Cox Needham Funeral Home Chapel in Pilot Mountain with Rev. Jerry Harris officiating. Family will receive friends at 200 Star View Drive King, NC between 2-4 pm and after service.
