Oneeda Denny Brendle, 90, of King, NC passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 at her residence in King surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She retired from Hanes Hosiery and Burger King Restaurant. She was a long-time member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
She was born September 30, 1928 in Stokes County to John and Emma Denny. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Herbert and Claudine Stoltz; brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Jeanne Denny; two grandchildren, Wendy Stoltz, Michael Stoltz (Krysten); two great-grandchildren, Arlo Stoltz and Crosby Stoltz, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, June 17, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with funeral following at 1:00 p.m.; Rev. Dan Wackerhagen will be officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Gilmer “Joe” Brendle; three brothers, Marshall Denny, JW Denny, and Bill Denny; three sisters, Dovie Smith, Rhumelle Flippin, and Dorothy Crystal Denny, (deceased infant); and one grandson, Chris Stoltz.
Flowers are appreciated or Memorials may be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery fund or Mountain Valley Hospice.
