Onnie Charles Wyatt

Mr. Onnie Charles Wyatt, age 88, of Winston Salem, NC, took flight and went home to be with the Lord on Monday March 18, 2019. He was born on September 1, 1930 to the late Wiley Thomas Wyatt and Jane Ashley Wyatt.

Onnie was a member of Hanes Baptist Church, Sabrina Lake Road in Winston Salem, NC. He was a devoted man of God. A Christian who believed that words should not spoken unless Christ was the center of the conversation. He was a Korean War Veteran Sgt. 1st Class in the United States Army from 1952-1953.

He leaves cherished memories to those he loved, sons; Deran Wyatt, Mark (Jean) Wyatt, and Steve (Helen) Wyatt, daughters; Debbie (JD) Palmer, Kim (Hawk) Harrelson, Phyllis (Jim) Watson, Teresa (Chip) Green, and Tracy Wyatt, two sisters; Mae Luffman and Nadine Howell, twenty-three grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Daisy Pearl Miller Wyatt, parents; Wiley Thomas Wyatt and Jane Ashley Wyatt,son; Vernon Keith Wyatt, two grandsons; Eric Deran Wheeler, Kevin Neil Wyatt, two brothers and three sisters.

A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, March 21, 2109 at Word of God Baptist Church at 4:00 PM with Pastor J.K Faires and Russell Sheets officiating.

Interment will follow immediately after service at Word of God Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday March 22, 2019 from 10:00 AM -3:00 PM at the home of Onnie and Daisy Wyatt.
