Roger Bryant Obituary

Roger Kimble Bryant was born February 27, 1938 to Sanford Ray Bryant and Lessie Simmons Bryant. He passed away at Forsyth Hospital on January 8, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years to Gloria Calloway Bryant and two sons; Dwayne (Cindy) Bryant of Madison and Daryl (Amy) Bryant of Pilot Mountain, three grand kids; Kevin Bryant, Cassidy Bryant, and Megan Bryant, three brothers; Bobby (Mildred) Bryant, Don Bryant of Pilot Mountain, and Arthur (Becky) Bryant of Stokesdale, one sister; Janie Jones of Pilot Mountain.  He was a loving husband and proud of his 2 boys and loved his grandchildren dearly. He was an Army Veteran as well as a retired diesel mechanic. His hobbies included hunting and fishing with his two best friends Bobby and Clifford Myers. He also loved helping his sons build race car motors for their race cars. He was preceded in death by his parents Sanford Ray Bryant and Lessie Simmons Bryant; brother; Charles Bryant.

Funeral services will be held at Hills Grove Baptist Church, Power Dam Road, Pilot Mountain on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Terry Watson, Bro. Darius Collins and Rev. Eddie Sizemore officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service. Interment following services at Hills Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The NC National Honor Guard, the Mount Airy VFW Post 2019 and the Pilot Mountain VFW Post 9436 will provide full Military Honors.

Flowers are accepted or memorials can be made to the Hills Grove Baptist Church Cemetery fund.
