Thelma Irene (Love) Taylor

Thelma Irene Love Taylor, age 99, of Pinnacle, NC, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at her home.

She was born on September 3, 1917 in Surry County to the late Johnny Blaine Love and Ida Frances Hall Love.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by one son, Dean Russell (Imogene) Taylor; three daughters, Midgie Atkins, Shelia Ann (Roger) Wright, and Sandra (Jimmy) Jessup; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herbert William Taylor; her parents, Johnny Blaine Love and Ida Frances Hall; one son, Larry Taylor; one daughter, Betty Jean Taylor; two sisters, Clara Hutchens and Audrey Love Hauser; and three brothers, Roby Eugene Love, Otis Love, and Junior Love.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. with Elder Jimmy Joyce officiating.

Interment will follow in Simmons Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Simmons Family Cemetery Fund, in care of Wilma Simmons, 107 Della Lane, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041; or to Hospice of Stokes County.
