Ada Frances (Starbuck) Milby

Mrs. Ada Frances Milby, age 75, of Mount Airy, passed away on October 31st, 2023, at her home.

She was born on October 12th, 1948, in Surry County, North Carolina to the late Lacey and Ethel Hicks Starbuck.

Mrs. Milby loved sitting on the beach and listening to the crashing ocean waves. She loved her fur grandbabies and loved spending time with her son who was the light of her life.

She is survived by her son, Adam Puckett (Gloria); a sister Myrtle Starbuck; grandchildren Emily Smith and Zach Jones; Great-Grandchildren, Justin Smith, Crichton Smith, and Sydney Smith; fur grandbabies, Sophie and Jackson.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Milby was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Milby; sister Janice Nunn; and Grandchildren, Owen Puckett and Matthew Puckett.

A graveside service will be conducted November 4th, 2023, at Brims Grove Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00pm. Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 from 12:30pm until 1:30pm at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends after the service at their home.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Milby and her family request donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
