Adelaide Ellen (Butner) Palmer

Mrs. Adelaide Ellen Butner Palmer, age 96, of Pinnacle, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of Thursday, October 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 9, 1929, in Forsyth County to the late Bynum Henry Butner, Sr. and Sula Elizabeth Rierson Butner.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Ronald Gaither (Vickie) Palmer, Jr., Patricia P. Beck, Carolisa Palmer, and Nathan (Patti) Palmer; her siblings, Helen (Chuck) Frazier, Janie Hamby, and Isaac Butner; sisters-in-law, Juanita Holder and Nancy Stevens; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Palmer was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. Ronald Gaither Palmer, Sr.

She loved her family and church, she loved to quilt and work in the yard.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church in King, with Rev. Kevin Broyhill and Rev. Scott Vernon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Gospel Baptist Church Cemetery in Pinnacle.
