Alice Carol (Gilley) Jessup

Alice Carol Gilley Jessup, age 76, of Pilot Mountain NC, passed away on December 9th,

2023 at Baptist Medical Hospital, Reynolds ICU. She was born on September 19th, 1947, to

Virginia Lorraine Beasley Gilley and Earl Gaston Gilley, Sr. Mrs. Jessup is survived by her

loving family; two sons, Bobby Keith Jessup, Jr.; Andrew William Jessup and wife Amy; two

granddaughters, Meredith and Alexandria, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jessup

was a nurse and enjoyed baking. She loved talking to people and was always willing to lend

a helping hand to anyone in need, from making baby quilts to baking cakes for the

homeless. She loved her fellow congregation at Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church. The family

would like to express their appreciation for the excellent care Mrs. Jessup received at Baptist

Medical Hospital, Reynolds ICU. She is preceded in death by her parents; Virginia Lorraine

Beasley Gilley and Earl Gaston Gilley, Sr.; amazing husband Bobby Keith Jessup, Sr.;

brother Earl Gaston Gilley, Jr.; lifelong friend Doug Brinkley and beloved cat Fluffy.

Visitation will be conducted on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 5pm-7pm at Cox-Needham Funeral Home in Pilot Mountain. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 2pm at Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church and interment will follow in Jessup Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
