Alicia (Midgett) Knighten

Alicia Midgett Knighten, 67, of Mount Airy, passed away at Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation Center, August 1, 2021. She was born, January 30, 1954, the daughter of Earl Ray and Margie Armstrong Midgett. She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her three sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Ray (Christina) Knighten, William Edward (Yolanda) Knighten, David James (Vickie) Knighten; a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy K. (Monte) Palmer; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray Junior (Ginger) Midgett, Johnny (Toni) Midgett, Alcraig (Paula) Midgett; 15 grandchildren, Vivian, Evelyn, Claudia, Jude, William, Amber, Jacob, Christi, Ben, Michael, Rowdy, Cyndi, Johnathan, Rachelle, and Brittany; and nineteen great-grandchildren, 

Alicia was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, David Kenneth Knighten.

A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, Alicia was doting and so very proud of her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and it was said, fondly, she would cook enough for an army. She spent her life serving others.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
