Ann Ayers

Ms. Ann Viars Ayers, age 92, of Mount Airy, passed away on December 24th, 2024, at Pruitt Health in Elkin.

Ms. Ayers was born on February 20, 1932 in Pearisburg, VA to the late Earnest Viars & Cora Dell Pyles Viars.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Judy Morris of Lowgap & Chris Ayers of Mt. Airy; as well as twenty one grandchildren & several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Ayers; her children, Frances Cockerham, Obie Ayers, Albert Ayers, Donna Harrell; grandchildren, Roy Charles Ayers & Clayton Junior McCormick; & two sisters, Virginia Shockley & Stence Akers.

A graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, December 29th, at Oakdale Cemetery at 1:30pm. The family will receive friends and family on December 29th at Cox-Needham Funeral Home from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.
