Mr. Bobby Leon Cox, age 75 of Westfield, passed away peacefully on December 11th at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.
Mr. Cox was born on May 12, 1947 in Forsyth County to the late Ronnie Elec & Gladys Mozelle Cambell Cox.
During life, Bobby was a member of Brown Mountain Baptist Church. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking. He loved animals & people alike; he never met a stranger. Most importantly, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather & great-grandfather.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 57 years, Dianne Cox; three sons, Mike (Rae) Cox of Westfield, Jerry (Lisa) Cox of Mt. Airy, & Randy (Karen) Cox of East Bend; two daughters, Sue (David) Reynolds of Pinnacle & Melissa (Jeff) Kinton of Devotion; fourteen grandchildren, including Josh Cox of the home; 9 great-grandchildren; & one brother, Ted (Judy) Cox of Westfield.
A funeral service for Mr. Cox will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 14th at Brown Mountain Baptist Church, with Rev. Eddie Carter & Rev. Buford Jessup officiating. A visitation with the family will be held at the church from 12:45pm until 1:45pm on the day of the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The pallbearers will be Josh Cox, Randall Reynolds, Nathan Reynolds, Garrett Cox, Alex Kinton & Austin Cox.
