Carl Michael “Mike” Fishel, 53, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025. He was born on February 29, 1972, in Winston-Salem to his parents, Carl Mickey Fishel and Elma Moon Fishel Moser.
Mike worked as an electrician for Haynes International Wiring, a profession he loved and took great pride in. He also enjoyed carpentry and found joy in working with his hands. Outside of work, Mike was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the North Carolina Tar Heels, and he loved to travel whenever he had the chance. Mike also enjoyed Nascar and all things racing and car related.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Mickey Fishel, and his grandmother, Mimi Fishel.
Left to cherish his memory are his fiancée, Kathy Butcher; his step-daughter, Megan Schuh; his daughters, Mikala Fishel and Hannah Fishel; and his mother, Elma Fishel Moser.
Mike will be remembered for his hard work, his sense of humor, and the love he shared with his family and friends. You always knew Mike liked you if he gave you a hard time, if he teased you it meant he cared. He also would say to show that he cared, “Love you to the moon and back” and “ I love you more”. He was a free-spirit who did things his own way, never one to worry about convention.
Family will receive friends and family for a visitation at Salt and Light Church on Saturday, September 13th, 2025 at 1:00 pm with a Funeral Service to follow an hour later.
